Description
Individual lesson quality matters. It matters a lot less if the lessons don’t fit together into a coherent learning sequence over time. Curriculum mapping — the process of designing how content, skills, and assessment build across a unit, term, or year — is the level at which learning programs either develop cumulative understanding or produce isolated knowledge that doesn’t connect.
You’ll work with:
- Learning progression design: sequencing knowledge and skill development so that earlier learning genuinely supports later learning
- Assessment integration: building formative and summative assessment into unit structure as design elements rather than add-ons
- Year-level mapping: distributing content across a full academic year with realistic time allocation and deliberate revisiting of key concepts
Timeline: +/- 6 hours
Outcome: A curriculum planning process that produces coherent, well-paced learning programs — where individual lessons serve a larger design rather than existing in isolation.
